Thomas “Tom” R. Mocol, age 69, of Mankato, passed away peacefully Friday, July 25, 2025 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Mankato.
Memorial Mass 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 4, 2025, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Mankato. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be one hour before service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to: Mankato Loyola High School or the donor’s choice. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Tom was born January 9, 1956, to Herbert J. and Mary Genevieve (Lohse) Mocol in Mankato. He graduated from Loyola High School in 1974 and from Mankato State University with his undergraduate and graduate degrees. Tom was actively involved working in the family business, Mocol’s Grocery Store. Tom enjoyed spending time with customers and always had a smile.
Tom is survived by his 10 siblings, Joseph (Darlene) Mocol of Mankato, Diane (Jeffrey) Higgins of West St. Paul, Stephen (Kimberly) Mocol of Burnsville, David Mocol of Eagan, Kathryn Mocol of Mankato, Gregory Mocol of Mankato, George Mocol of Mankato, Jean (John) Henning of Fargo, ND, James (Kristin) Mocol of Chaska, Christopher Mocol of Eagan; uncle, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Herb and Gen Mocol; grandparents, Joseph and Ida (Izen) Mocol and Christian and Matilda (Henkels) Lohse.
