Troy Johnson

Troy Anthony Johnson, age 42 of Mankato, unexpectedly passed away on March 26, 2026.

Troy was the loving son of Randy and Donna Johnson, and Joyce and Dyle Brower.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Reuban Johnson Jr.; his grandparents, Tom and Arlene Edwards; and his brother, Cory Johnson.

His surviving family members include his grandmother, Beatrice Johnson; siblings Megan Johnson, Randi (Will) Sevilla, Janelle Johnson (Aaron Eiden), Bree (Nate) Vrchota. Troy was a proud uncle to his nieces, Laynee, Adrianna, and Raelynn, and his nephew, Roman. He leaves behind his dearest friends, Carlos and Staci Valdez, as well as many family and friends who will deeply miss him.

Troy enjoyed spending time with his family and had a kind heart that showed in everything he did. Something that made his heart full was playing cards with his aunts and cousin Megan. He enjoyed long walks, building Legos models, working alongside of his uncle Pauly, and tending goldfish. Troy also cared deeply for animals, especially Squirtle, the rescue tortoise he took care of. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.

Troy, known as a gentle giant, will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and love.

Visitation is Thursday, April 2, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Mankato Mortuary. Although the gentle giant is no longer with us, his memory will always endure.
