Victoria “Vicki” L. Reedstrom, age 43, of rural Mankato, died Thursday, November 9, 2023, at her home.

 

A Celebration of Vicki’s Life will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Mankato. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Friday, November 17th  at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary and as well as one hour before service at church on Saturday. Private family interment will be in Calvary Lutheran Cemetery, Rapidan, MN.

 

Memorials may be given to Calvary Lutheran Church, the Down Syndrome Association of MN, ARC MN, or a not-for-profit of choice.

 

Victoria Leigh “Vicki” was born March 3, 1980, to David A. and Carol J. (Norman) Reedstrom in St. Paul. Graduating from LCWM High School in 2000 where she lettered as manager of the girls’ basketball and volleyball teams.

 

Vicki was employed through Lifeworks where she worked at Best Western, Mankato in housekeeping.

 

An avid Minnesota Twins fan,  Vicki loved attending games or watching them on TV, meeting the players and getting their autographs and especially attending the 2013 Spring Training Camp in Florida.

 

Vicki was taught sign language as an infant and later became fluent in American Sign Language upon her own initiative.

 

She loved country music, Keith Urban, Zac Efron, “High School Musical”, and coffee. Vicki also found great joy in attending Lutheran Via de Cristo weekend retreats.

 

Vicki is survived by her parents, Carol and Dave Reedstrom; two brothers, Andrew “Drew” and Kyle Reedstrom; niece and nephews, Allie, Evan, Noah, and Rory; her boyfriend, Jay Pongratz; her cat, Bruce; aunts and uncles, Jean (Tim) Wilson, Jack (Deb) Norman, Dennis (Judy) Norman, David Norman, Denise (Dick) Clarke, Gregg (Julie) Reedstrom, Steve (Trish) Reedstrom, and Marce (Rick) Larson; and extended family.

 

Vicki was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ellis and Mary Ann Norman and Marlin and Charmaine Reedstrom; infant brother, Brandon Reedstrom; and sister-in-law, Jessica Reedstrom.

 

Vicki’s optimistic outlook on life was, “You never know!”
